I think bridges are amazing! When I lived in the bay area, there were three surrounding the area – the magnificent Golden Gate, the Richmond, and, of course, the Bay Bridge.
Something about the Wherever You Go stamp set got my attention… I don’t know if it was the missing of the bay area, or just because it’s a darn cool set.
I made three cards with three completely different “moods” and technique.
The first card is a simple stamping technique with matting and ribbon. I used crushed curry for the sunburst and pool party for the card base.
The second card has a patriotic feel. I used silver embossing for the bridge and I colored the fireworks stamp with real red & night of navy stampin’ markers, adding some very vanilla ink from April Paper Pumpkin on the outer edge of the stamp. I did a light water color with soft sky around the white fireworks to give them a pop, and lightly colored under the bridge.
The third card is my favorite! I used crushed curry and calypso coral for the water-colored sky, adding marina mist for water under the bridge. The sunburst was also colored with stampin’ marker colors crushed curry and calypso coral.
