I had the pleasure of making some fun baby gifts for my former college roommate, who just had a little girl…
One of my favorite things to make is Name Art.
The letters were created using the Big Shot, and the images were a combination of stamped and punched images.
The next essential item for moms of little girls is a bow holder — you will have a lot of them, and you will want to keep them in an easy-access single location.
I used the pyramid pals thinlits and coordinating playful pals stamp set to create the adorable, bow-wearing elephant.
Lastly, I created a set of ten thank you cards for the new mom.
The elephant is from a retired set, but that image can easily be replaced with any of Stampin’ Up’s current baby-themed stamp sets. I was keeping to an elephant theme, as you can see from the pictures.
Hope I’ve inspired you to get out there and create!
The Color Fuse team is back!!
The first and third Monday of every month we will be demonstrating color combinations.
This month the colors are Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate & Watermelon Wonder.
To showcase these colors I have used the Hearts & Stars Decorative Mask. Such a fun tool to use and play with color combos.
I added a cute little owl, made using the Playful Pals stamp set and Pyramid Pals thinlits. The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. The heart was created using the sweetheart punch, and the sentiment frame in cherry cobbler was made using the triple banner punch.
It’d be a great card to give for an anniversary, or just for fun as a loving reminder….
One quick tip I learned while creating this card…
Do not twist the sponge dauber while applying ink because the ink will leak under the mask.

Here is Part II of the Paper Pumpkin + Playful Pals combo–
There was something about the triangles in the Paper Pumpkin set that reminded me of the Playful Pals stamp set + Pyramid Pals thinlits.
Here is collection:
I made an elephant, a lion, a frog and a piggie. You really have so many options with the playful pals, but these are some of my favorites.

I made a couple more Easter cards using the Easter Lamb stamp set. I’m telling you that little guy is soooo cute!! Using some leftover supplies from my January Paper Pumpkin set, coordinating with the Love Blossoms DSP (p. 17 of occasions catalog), Wildflower Fields DSP from Sale-a-Bration (p. 12 of SAB catalog), and the Tea Lace Paper Doilies (p. 148 of annual catalog) really completed the look of those cards.
Lastly, I had to make a bunny using the Playful Pals and coordinating thinlits!
Have a hoppin’ good Easter!!
I love, love, love the playful pals stamp set, with coordinating playful pals thinlits found in the Occasions Catalog!! Having young children I often buy sets that I think would make great birthday cards for the kiddos or fun crafts they can help me with. For Valentine’s I used the playful pals set, along with the coordinating thinlits to make their valentine card exchanges for school. I shared these with my stamping friends and they (Patty Bennett and Jason Loucks) suggested the cards would also make a great memory game for the youngsters.
