Gifts for Baby

I had the pleasure of making some fun baby gifts for my former college roommate, who just had a little girl…

One of my favorite things to make is Name Art.

The letters were created using the Big Shot, and the images were a combination of stamped and punched images.

The next essential item for moms of little girls is a bow holder — you will have a lot of them, and you will want to keep them in an easy-access single location.

I used the pyramid pals thinlits and coordinating playful pals stamp set to create the adorable, bow-wearing elephant.

Lastly, I created a set of ten thank you cards for the new mom.

The elephant is from a retired set, but that image can easily be replaced with any of Stampin’ Up’s current baby-themed stamp sets.  I was keeping to an elephant theme, as you can see from the pictures.

Hope I’ve inspired you to get out there and create!

Name Art

I love to make Name Art… what is that, you say?

A friend from many moons ago and his wife just had a little boy, so I had to make them some art for the little guy’s room.

The letters were created using the Big Shot.  The background color is Mint Macaron.  The lion uses Peekaboo Peach, the elephant uses Smoky Slate, and the owl uses Wisteria Wonder.

Here’s another view showing you how I gave it some depth with dimensionals.
