The annual Stampin’ Up catalog has some great inspiration and ideas for card layouts.
I CASE’d (copy and share everything) the card design from page 37, and used the Balloon Celebration stamp set instead.
I wasn’t sure what color combo looked best, so I made three options.
From top to bottom, the color combos are Rose Red, Island Indigo, and Rich Razzleberry, second card is Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, and Daffodil Delight, and third card is Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, and Bermuda Bay.
The sentiments are from Thoughtful Banners, using the Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad.
People often ask me where I get my ideas from, and a lot of the time, I do actually make up my own design, but the catalog is great place to help spark your creativity.

The Playful Palette DSP is quite the cheerful set. I pulled together a set of four cards displaying the plaid pattern. The colors include black, emerald envy, peekabo peach and blushing bride. It’s interesting how much color can change the theme of a card. The blushing bride gives it an innocent and sweet feel.. a card perhaps best suited for a young girl, while the black is more appropriate for that too-cool-for-school teenager.

I used the Balloon Celebration stamp set and Balloon Bouquet punch to create the birthday sentiments.
Have a nice day!!

Tangerine Tango, Hello Honey, Mellow Moss, Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss are leaving us!!
I sure am going to miss the 2014-2016 In Colors, but am also excited to start using the new 2016 – 2018 colors when then become available!
Yesterday, Stampin’ Up announced the retiring list for this year’s current catalog in preparation for the release of the new annual catalog in June (you can see the list here).
It’s always a bittersweet time because I know I’ll miss many of the items from the existing (or soon-to-be-old) catalog, but I’m also quite excited to see the new items I’ll get to play with!
In honor of their soon-to-be departure I created these fun birthday cards using the Balloon Celebration stamp set.
Be sure to check out the retired list and stock up on items you love before they’re gone!!
I have a cousin who is an avid surfer, so a Beautiful Ride was the only stamp set appropriate for his birthday card! I did use the sentiments from Cottage Greetings as well as the cloud from Balloon Celebration. The card stock is lost lagoon, and so is the watercolor of the car. The surfboard is hello honey.
Have a happy day!!
The Balloon Celebration stamp set and Balloon Bouquet punch bundle (p. 13 of the Occasions catalog) are the perfect combo for festive birthday cards. I combined Night of Navy, Bermuda Baby, and Smoky Slate to create a more masculine feel. I punched out balloon shapes and used the dimensionals (probably my favorite accessory) on a few to give it depth. Simple and easy!
