It’s the first Monday of October and the Color Fusers team is back for more fun and creativity!!
This month we used Pumpkin Pie, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Soft Suede & Whisper White. Such a great combination of colors for Autumn.
I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Layers thinlits. Seriously, this has been an awesome set to use for so many occasions.
The reversed leaves were created by using the sponge daubers over a cut out image of a leaf, found in the thinlits set.
On the inside of the card, I stamped the smaller leaf in pumpkin pie, fresh fig, and lemon lime twist.
Hope this has inspired you to create a few Autumn-themed cards.
Please be sure to visit the rest of the team! Jo Anne Hewins is next…
Happy Labor Day weekend!!
Hope you are enjoying your final weekend of summer festivities… well, technically we have a few more weeks, but I always see Labor Day as the end cap to summer.
This month’s color combination was awesome!! Very cheerful.
It led me to create a couple simple birthday cards that required NO STAMPING. NO INK. What to the what?!?!?
Stampin’ Up has some great die cuts and punches, and that’s what I used to create these two simple cards. The Happy Birthday message from the happy birthday thinlits die (#143700) is simple and elegant.
For the striped card, I cut strips of card stock into 1.25″ x 4″ and they fit evenly on a standard 4.25″ x 5.5″ card base.
The balloon card is a bit more whimsical and I used dimensionals to raise a couple of the balloons I cut out using the balloon bouquet punch (#140609).
Please be sure to check out the rest of this team’s fantastic creations!
Thank you for visiting!
I have been playing with my new stamp sets and am currently “stuck” on Wood Words.
Look how beautiful the flower stamp is. I used this design to showcase the new In Colors for 2017-2019. The finely woven ribbon is wonderful to work with too! It’s very soft and very manageable.
The cut out of the rooster was created using the coordinating Wood Crate framelits.
Roosters and flowers aren’t your thing? How about stars, moons, and hearts?
I made 3 x 3 cards using the moon, star and heart coordinating framelits. They make great baby gift cards.
For the heart card, I punched a 1 1/2 inch circle on scrap paper and masked the card front to only stamp the background within that circle. I love the way it came out!
Lastly, I made stack of cards as a thank you to my cousin who hosted us for dinner when we were out in Minnesota for OnStage.
The original design did not intend to add words, but I felt the sentiment from Wood Words fit perfectly.
And, yes, I did hand cut each image of the Minnesota outline. No two cards are the same ♥
Thanks for stopping by!
Boy it’s been a long time since I’ve posted here….
Last week I had the opportunity to attend Onstage Live in Minneapolis, and the new 2017-2018 annual catalog was revealed!! Look at these adorable projects we got to create!
Let me tell you that wood textures DSP is ah-mazing!!
Those who attend OnStage are given the opportunity to pre-order items, so OF COURSE I just had to….
Check out the adorable birthday card I made using the wood textures designer series paper and seasonal layers thinlits.
Lastly, with every new catalog, they retire the old In Colors and introduce new ones.
Take a look at the 2017-2019 In Colors.
The new catalog will go live on June 1st. Contact me if you would like a copy of one.
